Person graf Graf#7

The "1-Upper" has got to be the most annoying and frustrating person out there. You could be telling an epic story of how your last vacation to the Appalachian Mountains was awe inspiring because of all the beautiful scenery, long and steep trails, blazing hot sun and out of no where they retort sharply, "Oh yeah?! I just got back from climbing Mount Everest twice naked."

Who do they think they are fooling with their obviously exaggerated stories? Not only do they look incredibly dumb for trying to deceive you into thinking they are the bee's knees but they also hurt their credibility. Lying to be impressive is a lot easier than actually accomplishing an amazing feat I suppose.

I-search Worksheet

I want to write about the history of computers.
I want to get a better understanding of how computers came to be.

1. Who first invented the computer?
2. How much did the first computer cost?
3. How much has technology advanced since the first computer?

My parents bought me a Windows 95 when I was 9 and ever since then I couldn't stop playing around on it and basically wasting my life. I have been taking apart and putting computers back together since 8th grade.

1. I like the topic because computers have always interested me.
2. Tinkering with them is a hobby of mine.

1. Probably won't change my life. I really had trouble even thinking of a topic for this paper.

Reaction to Sample isearches Graf#6

My first reaction to this isearch is "Wow, I'm really far behind in this class and I don't think I can finish all this without having an aneurysm." After a deeper look into it I now can say "Yup, I'm screwed." and "I guess I could just get a job at a local McDonalds..." Procrastination is my worst flaw as a student.

Things graf Graf#5

Picking a favorite item was not easy, however, if I had to choose it would be my truck.
I chose this not just because of the obvious freedoms that having a car entails but because my father and I worked tirelessly on it for  months. Ripping apart rusting metal, welding, and busting our knuckles loosening a few tight screws are just some of the many tasks we had to perform before this truck was a safe running machine again. Building this truck together made many memories that I won't forget.
The best part about building this truck with my dad is now I don't have any car payments! We only put $1000 into it to get it running and able to pass inspection.
I'm glad that my dad didn't just buy me a car and hand it over to me like most kids. I wouldn't appreciate it as much and I wouldn't have had all those great times sweating like a pig in the garage with my dad.

Inventory & inventory graf Graf #3

4'x2'x4' Mahogany wood dresser.

On top of the dresser is home to the following items:
  • 3 Sticks of deodorant
  • 2 Bottle of cologne
  • Bottle of hair gel
  • Tub of hair gel
  • A pair of scissors
  • Incense ash catcher with small mountains of ash
  • High School Diploma
  • CNA Certification
  • Picture of me in my cap and gown from graduation day
  • Picture of my girlfriend and I before prom
  • Lava lamp
  • Paintball mask
A think layer of dust covers everything except the deodorant and cologne.Drawers all ajar with clothes messily tossed in.

This kid is very young and lucky. I mean just look at that hot babe of a girlfriend he has. Not only lucky, but smart too. Everything is very organized yet still chaotic with the drawers gaping open revealing all of his clothes. What a fashion sense! The incense and lava lamp make me think this kid is sort of a hippy, at least he graduated high school... Only a stalker would take notes like this. I wonder what would happen if he found this blog about him...

Worst teacher graf Graf #2

My worst experience with a teacher would be my sophomore year in U.S. History class. This was his first year teaching at the high school, however, he was previously a teacher at the middle school. As I recall, even in middle school, he would rant and rave about things in the news for a good portion of the class. This wasn't the horrible part, even though it wasn't very fun to listen to his opinion on everything...

A friend of mine would always just try to get under this teachers' skin. After a while of constant annoyance the teacher would snap on whom ever he felt. This man would yell and scream until his face was a bright pink just like the tie around his neck.

To some, this made class far more entertaining than listening to him lecture about gas prices and his salary. The thing that irritated me most about this teacher was him complaining how he would rather be somewhere else then teaching us.

The only upside to this teacher was he would pass any kid failing just because he was a big softy at heart.

Hands graf Graf #1

These hands are not worn torn nor abused. The worse these hands have seen would have to be a few hours of shoveling the snow from my driveway on a cold winters day. Protected by the thin and warming layer of cotton, my hands stay as smooth and callous free as a new born.

These hands have been trained to bring care to the elderly, to the weak or to anyone whom seeks it. For I am a certified nurses assistant. You can often see these hands bringing in trays of luke warm food to their patient, gently setting down the train and giving a comforting pat on the back.

These hands have only one scar. This scar bears a constant reminder of being more cautious and think before doing something. You see, this scar was not inflicted by an enemy after an argument, rather it was my own stupidity. Cutting open a box with a dagger, cutting towards myself, I slip, and with the cold 6 inch blade entering my skin I quickly drop it and clench my hand. After this incidence I stopped cutting boxes with a dagger and resort to something safer, like scissors...
